(Asian News Hub) – In a major success to security forces deployed in Karnah, a huge recovery was recovered in the late hours of Sunday owing to high state of alertness of the Army and Police.
Indian Army in a statement said that, on the night of 28 March a specific intelligence based joint operation by Indian Army & JKP, five AK Rifles & Seven Pistols with a host of magazines and ammunition were recovered.
The operation was conducted in very close proximity of the line of control in Dhanni village which is under direct observation of Pak Army posts in Lipa Valley.
“Such operations conducted by the security agencies along the line of control inspite of Pakistani domination is re-assuring and makes us feel safe”, said the locals on being asked to comment about the operation.
Security agencies and civil administration in Karnah Tehsil continue to work hand in hand to negate the security threat to the people in the Union Territory of J&K.
In the last two years, a total of 16 weapons & over 50 KG of narcotics has been recovered from Karnah, the statement added.
